The “Chitral Tourism Symposium” was conducted in collaboration with the Tourism Department, Frontier Corps North, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) to highlight the value of developing Chitral’s cultural legacy and tourist potential. The chief guests were Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Inspector General Frontier Corps North Noor Wali Khan, and Minister of Tourism and Information Barrister Syed Feroze Jamal Shah Kakahel.
DG Tourism Barkatullah Marwat, Secretary of Tourism Mutahir Zaib, and Media Manager Saad bin Owais were also present. During the occasion, Minister of Tourism and Information Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel emphasized the importance of promoting tourism. He said the purpose of the event was to highlight the tremendous cultural diversity of Chitral, a place that has many different civilizations and needs to be encouraged. He advised travelers to visit Chitral for its natural beauty and rich history.
The Chief Secretary emphasized the efforts being made by the government to boost tourism in Chitral and said that the symposium gave participants a chance to advise the authorities.
