The history of PAKISTAN is a synthesis of earlier civilizations; its extensive antiquity serves as a reminder of the earlier cultures that were formerly based here. The Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore commemorates the passing of Guru Arjan Dev, his sixth spiritual successor, while the Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal is said to contain a rock bearing an impression of Nanak’s hand.
For these reasons, we can reclaim over 106 famous locations, including the Taxila Museum’s prehistoric artefacts, the Lahore Museum’s oldest texts from the Guru Granth Sahib, the Katas Raj temple complex, Hinglaj, the Panchmukhi Hanuman temple, and more. However, the tourism industry’s shaky institutional and regulatory structure limits its full potential.
Transport, visas, guesthouses, heritage experts and guides on par with Unesco models, as well as initiatives like the Kartarpur Corridor can revive the travel industry, improve Pakistan’s reputation, and reawaken pluralism for a vibrant cultural environment. The path to Pakistan must not be defaced by the security ogre, which is of utmost importance.
