Winter Tourism Booms in Swat

December 19, 2023

Hundreds of travelers go to Malam Jabba and Kalam Valley to experience the snowfall and skiing during the height of winter tourism in Swat.

The picturesque valleys become a wintry paradise in the winter, providing visitors with a plethora of adventurous options. According to a Swat local, mountain resorts including Swat, Malam Jabba, Gabin Jabba, Miandam, Matiltan, Kalam, Utror, Gabral, Matiltan, Mahodand, and Loye Sar are popular destinations for travelers spending their winter breaks.

A family of tourists commented, “Today, I saw my first snowfall in Swat, fulfilling a dream of mine.” He continued, “The snow-covered valleys and majestic mountain peaks enchant the arriving visitors.”

If visitors intend to visit Swat Valley in the winter, another resident suggested that they dress appropriately for the weather by packing jackets and snowshoes.

“We found Malam Jabba to be very different from other snow resorts. Our friends had told us about its enchanting beauty,” a Punjabi visitor stated.

One of the tourists, a woman, said that she loved Swat for its many qualities, its accessibility, its pleasant, pollution-free weather, and the trout fish that are readily available in the snow. “Even though it’s freezing here in Kalam, I can’t resist watching the snow fall,” said a foreign visitor.
