AMRITSAR: On April 14, the holiday of Khalsa Sajna Diwas, also known as Vaisakhi, will be celebrated with tremendous pomp and display throughout the country. On April 9, a group of Indian Sikh pilgrims will go through the Attari-Wahga border crossing on their way to celebrate the festival at Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Pakistan. They will return to India on April 18, after having spent the week in Pakistan. The itinerary for the visit has been made public by Pakistan.
Officials from the Evacuee Trust Property Board have stated that it is essential to maintain a level of concern and vigilance concerning the devotees’ protection and safety. The jatha is scheduled to leave India on April 9, will spend April 10 in the Gurdwara Sacha Sauda Farooqabad, and will then travel back to the Gurdwara Nankana Sahib in the evening.
Following the plan, the Jatha will pay a visit to the Guru Dhams on April 11, and the next day, on April 12, they will go to the Gurdwara Panja Sahib Hasan Abdal. On April 13, the devotees are going to rest for the night. The blog at Shri Akhand Path Sahib Ji will take place on April 14, and the pilgrims will be there. Following this, there will be a day of respite on April 15, then on April 16 devotees will depart for Gurdwara Rori Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib, and on April 18 they will return to the country.
