Celebrations Conclude at Gurdwara Punja Sahib in Hassan Abdal

TAXILA: On Sunday, the 100-year festivities of Saka Panja Sahib came to a close at Gurdwara Punja Sahib in Hassan Abdal. This is the location where it is said that the handprint of Sikhism’s founder, Guru Nanak, is engraved on a boulder.

Participants at the event included hundreds of Sikh trees, also known as pilgrims, as well as other political and socio-religious dignitaries from India and other nations.

According to the Pardhan Sardar Amir Singh of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, the government of Pakistan has won the hearts of the whole Sikh population by giving special visas and permission for the ceremony in the spirit of friendliness. He said this in a statement.

During his remarks during the occasion, Rana Shahid Saleem, an extra secretary for the Evacuee Trust Property Board, stated that construction work was progressing quickly at all gurdwaras located around the nation. He asserted that there were no unsafe places of worship and that extensive steps had been taken to encourage religious tourism.
