He said that several religious landmarks might be found in Pakistan.
He made a public speech about how we should all do all we can to protect and promote places of historical and spiritual significance to ensure that they are not lost to future generations.
He claimed that with the appropriate policy and design, places like Taxila and Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, and Lower Swat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may flourish as Buddhist tourist destinations.
