Emirates is celebrating its 10th anniversary of providing customers in Sialkot, Pakistan, with passenger and cargo services.
Emirates has changed Sialkot by offering a different entry point to Pakistan’s Export Triangle, which includes Gujrat, Sialkot, and Gujranwala. Sialkot, a city well-known for its skill in manufacturing leather apparel, sporting goods, and other items, has profited greatly from Emirates’ cargo services. More than 41,000 tonnes of commodities have been exported and more than 1,400 tonnes have been imported thanks in large part to Emirates SkyCargo.
Over a ten-year period, Emirates has carried over 1.5 million passengers on routes from and to Sialkot, establishing itself as a major player in the city’s aviation landscape with seven weekly flights linking Sialkot to international destinations. In the same time frame, Emirates flew over 5,500 times to and from Sialkot.
In addition to other locations in the UK and Europe, the airline’s most popular destinations and points of origin for Sialkot are Dubai, Barcelona, Paris, London, Jeddah, and Johannesburg. The airline provides a wide range of strong connections.
