Regarding the development of the “Sikandar-e-Azam” route, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman recently made an exciting statement. For this large-scale project, the CDA has secured a budget of 20 billion rupees with the intention of significantly reducing the distance between Islamabad and Khanpur Dam.
After it is finished, it will take just 20 minutes to travel between the two locations, revolutionizing the area’s transit system.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef officially opened several construction projects, including Margalla Avenue, Sikandar-e-Azam Road, and transport vans for sweet home kids.
The PM unveiled a plaque for the 10.4-kilometer-long Margalla Avenue. This took eight months to construct ultimately.
The PM was informed during the briefing that this new road would ease traffic on the Srinagar Highway and provide an alternative path.
Noor Ul Amin, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority, gave the PM a briefing on Sikandar-e-Azam road.
Numerous advantages for locals and tourists are anticipated due to the “Sikandar-e-Azam” road. The shortened journey time will improve connectivity and accessibility, creating new possibilities for the area’s economic development.
