Survey Reveals Japan’s Strong Affinity for Pakistan as a Tourist Haven

December 5, 2023

ISLAMABAD: According to a survey conducted by the Pakistani embassy in Japan, 59% of Japanese people really want to travel to Pakistan, making it their top choice.

According to a statement from Tokyo released here, the embassy carried out an extensive study to determine Japanese people’s interest in visiting Pakistan.

527 Japanese people participated in the social media study, which aimed to reveal attitudes and beliefs toward traveling to Pakistan.

Twenty percent of the participants indicated that they had previously been to Pakistan, highlighting the fact that there is a subset of Japanese tourists who have been there.

The embassy stated, “This statistic not only refutes clichés but also highlights Pakistan’s unrealized potential as a travel destination.”

According to the poll, the result demonstrated Pakistan’s unexplored tourism sector and offered a significant chance to draw in more Japanese visitors.

But the study also revealed a group of 21% who said that their plans were seriously hampered by concerns about security.

In order to draw Japanese tourists, the embassy stressed the necessity of making focused efforts to highlight Pakistan’s tourism offerings.
