LAHORE: As part of the Lahore Lahore Aye festival, the provincial department of archaeology and museums and the Tourism Development Corporation Punjab collaborated with the province government to host a cultural event.
At the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club on Monday, Punjab Tourism Secretary Muhammad Asif Bilal Lodhi presided over the event’s launch. That will go on until this month’s 24th.
Together with other exhibitors, a number of booths with exhibits from the TDCP’s Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, the Directorate of Archaeology, Punjab Small Industries, and the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) were put up.
Six unique pavilions were built to highlight Punjab’s rich history and culture. These pavilions included enthralling movies that portrayed various eras of the province, including the Indus Valley Civilization, the Sikh period, the Mughal Empire, the British Raj, and Modern Punjab.
To accommodate guests’ comfort and palates, a range of modern and traditional cuisine stalls were provided. After watching puppet and magic acts, children were enthralled with Minar-i-Pakistan, an iconic depiction of Pakistan’s history that was designed to be an unforgettable tale for both kids and adults.
Additionally, a drama called Anarkali was performed, capturing the Mughal era and captivating the audience with the actors’ skill.
Everyone in attendance was spellbound by the captivating performance of well-known Sufi artist Saeen Zahoor.
Secretary Asif Bilal Lodhi pledged to work with the Punjab government consistently to make sure the people has access to recreational options.
The November Lahore Lahore Aye festival is a family-friendly event that promises to be unforgettable for everyone.
The secretary highlighted that the festival, which runs until November 24, will include a variety of plays, storytelling sessions, and Sufi performances. It is intended for both adults and children and provides a new outlook on history and culture.
