‘Salam Pakistan’ brand and ‘e-Portal’ were introduced by Pakistan’s prime minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday.
The prime minister said Pakistan was a terrific site to promote tourism, culture, and heritage while speaking at the inauguration event held in Islamabad, according to Radio Pakistan.
The PM stated, “We will invite our ally nations and those that have achieved greatness in the fields of tourism, culture, handicraft, and other fields to visit Pakistan and highlight this diversity of tourism sector.”
According to him, the Salam Pakistan brand and e-Portal will promote Pakistan’s tourism diversity internationally and draw more visitors from around the world to the country. Pakistan is endowed with fantastic natural resources and picturesque scenery throughout its northern regions, which can be transformed into fantastic chances to boost tourism in the nation.
Shehbaz believed that Pakistan could use its natural resources, particularly the Northern Areas, as a huge chance to boost the economy of the nation.
Despite the fact that the government was due to end its term very soon, the prime minister reportedly gave his advisor on tourism, Aoun Chaudhry, instructions to make every effort to promote tourism.
Shehbaz gave instructions to the advisers and government officials to collaborate with individuals from other nations that had achieved success in tourism, cultural heritage, and other areas in addition to their own counterparts.
Diplomats from several nations joined Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam and Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Sayyed Ezzatullah Zarghami for the occasion.
The e-portal contains information about the top 20 tourist destinations of Pakistan including K2, Gwadar, Ziarat Valley, Uch Sharif, Deosai National Park, Kalash Valley, Takht Bhai, Hingol National Park, Shandur Pass, Kambhar Lake, Fairy Meadows, Ratti Gali, Lahore Fort, Makli Graveyard, Derawar For, Rohtas Fort, Kumrat Valley, Hunza Valley and Mohenjo-Daro.
