Mushkpuri Top
Mukshpuri Top is a 2,800-metre-high (9,200 ft.) mountain in the Nathia Gali Hills, in the Abbottabad District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northern Pakistan. It is the second highest peak in the Galyat Region after Miranjani which is located at 2,992 meters (9,816 ft.) Much of the mountain is covered with Western Himalayan subalpine conifer forests. The route from Nathia Gali on western side of mountain is a steady and 4-kilometre-long (2.5 mi) climb.
The mountain also has a route on the Dunga Gali side, with a steeper slope. There is a bird sanctuary on this side created with the help of the European Union. From the top of Mukshpuri peak, on the eastern edge of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the following areas can be seen: — Circle Bakote, Jhelum River, the Bagh District of Azad Kashmir, in the south the city of Murree and the Murree Tehsil, as well as Islamabad.
Miranjani
At an elevation of 2,992 meters (9,816 feet), in the Abbottabad District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Miranjani is the highest peak in the Galyat Region. It is situated 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of Islamabad in the western Himalayan range, in the Namli Maira region of the Ayubia National Park. The Governor House in Nathia Gali is a short drive from where the Miranjani trek begins.
The total length of the track is about 4.69 km and a net elevation of about 600 meters. Most of the path is soft dirt sparse with small rocks patches and hence is very easy to traverse with little effort. Intermediate to expert trekkers should be able to do it in 1 hour 15 mins to 2 hours. Beginners should also have no trouble and would be able to complete in 2-3 hours. The path to the peak is canopied with tall trees and is abundant in greenery. Nathia Gali, Mushkpuri Peak and Azad Kashmir are easily visible from the top. On a clear day even Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world, at a displacement of 166 km or a distance of more than 400 km can be seen shining with its snow clad peaks.
Saint Mathew’s Church
In Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Nathia Gali is home to St. Matthew’s Church. A Muslim family has taken care of the church for three generations. It has a specially constructed rectory, lodgings, a staircase, and an antique piano. This church, which is over a century old, has a straightforward and robust design. The charming St. Matthew’s church was created by Colonel Hope Waddell Kelsall during the British colonial era and is made entirely of cedar wood.
Dunga Gali Pine Line Track
Set out on a hiking adventure along the Dunga Gali Pine Line Track through a pine forest. Great views can be found along the 4 km (2.5 mi) trail from Dunga Gali to Ayubia, which is mostly encircled by a thick pine forest. Various birds and smaller animals can be seen along the way. Even though the trail is completely safe during the day, you should still stick to the road and never venture into the forest alone. Restaurants are available at both ends of the journey, and many benches offer rest stops along the way. The track is accessible by foot or horseback.
Nathia Gali Main Bazar
